Socks
and Shoes!
In the UK you can get gadgets via your Occupational
Therapist, I got an extended shoe horn,
a gadget for putting on socks and a grab
stick to pick things up with. Mike

How
to Cope with Chidren
I don't
really have any world shattering solutions
to coping with children and pain. All I
can suggest is that microwave dinners and
frozen dinners have been a godsend for me
and my family.
Also, I'm usually in bed for 6.30/7p.m.
most nights. If my husband is working a
late shift or nights, then me, the three
boys and sometimes the dog (but don't let
on to the husband) all congregate on the
bed. Thanks to my husband he has had Sky
T.V. installed in the bedroom (quite pricey
but a wonderful luxury) so we don't miss
any of our favourite programs.
I had to decide that my eldest son, Chris
11yrs., needed to know how to cook simple
things. He is a dab hand now at cooking
burgers, heating soup, making toast, heating
through beans, spaghetti etc., enough so
that me and his two brothers won't starve.
I think if there are children a decision
has to be made to let them cook, and it
does help out in an emergency - flare-ups
etc. And it makes them feel as though they
have done something to help out.
I do feel that sometimes my family need
a good old fashioned Sunday roast, but you
know these frozen veg., also frozen roast
potatoes (but I have to admit only in an
emergency) are really good. I also had an
electric steamer bought for me by my brother
and his wife. You can steam your potatoes
and veg without having to go backwards and
forwards to the kitchen all the time to
make sure they haven't boiled dry. Just
set the timer, and hey-presto when you hear
the 'ding' veggies are ready. Then if its
fresh roast potatoes you want, either deep
fry them, or put them in the oven for only
about 30 mins delicious.

I
have been in pain twelve years now and
one of the ways I have found to safely "shock"
my system into changing my chemistry so
that Endorphins and well being may sooth
my pain even if for just ten or twenty minutes,
it can be done easily and without any side
effects other than expelling of toxins and
waste in your body and the contraction and
relaxation of the organs of your body. here
is how you go about this tip: prepare for
your shower as usual, but first rub down
with a blue gel type rub or sports cream
you like Ben gay even, be sparring in application-rub
into shoulders thighs calves front of chest
no as soon as the cream starts to increase
in blood flow (heat up) get into the shower,
hot first as hot as you can stand all over
rinsing, now turn the water temp to cold
as you can stand it push a little and rinse
all over especially your head. As few as
three of these changes back and forth in
temperature will completely change the way
you feel and will give you what is called
a lymphatic massage touted as the shower
of youth! Of course I have done this without
the salve or cream and had almost as amazing
results I use the salves and creams when
I am in agony. Hey visit my site use the
feedback form and let me know if it helped.
