Parliamentary Email Campaign

Here at Arachnoiditis.co.uk we started a round robin email campaign, by emailing Party Members and we need you to join in by telling your story to your MP. Without your participation all our efforts are wasted MPs by tradition, and the regulations of the House of Commons, are not allowed to take up an issue which one of their colleagues might have an interest in unless they have been asked to do so by one of their own constituents, so your emails and letters are going to form the backbone of this Campaign.	** UK** We have MP's waiting to hear from you, please email for further details. We tell each other our stories, we tell our Doctors, we tell our friends and the best we can expect is sympathy, understanding and medication, we deserve more.
We want RECOGNITION! We want the TRUTH TOLD! So NOW its time to tell the people who we elected to take responsibility for our futures! Tell your MP your story!
Phone them, email them, write to them, go and see them! You have the right to access your MP you are the ones that put them in office to look after your interests so let them do their job. If they don't know about you they can't help you! If they get No letters, phone calls or email contact from you, their constituents and then the issue dies and who is to blame?

Here's how to find your MP contact him ASAP. The Guardian Newspaper site contains a service called "Aristotle" which provides a map of the country's constituencies and is easily followed links to: Constituency Listings, A to Z listings, and listings by Party. When you locate your constituency and then your MP you will find all of his/her contact details including email addresses (where they have one), snail mail addresses, phone numbers, etc. They even provide profiles of each member and what his particular interests are. The only way to ensure that the issue of spinal injections and Arachnoiditis is one of those interests is to contact them and tell them your story. It is up to us to ensure that those who legislate our futures have a reason to demand the truth and an inquiry. The All Party Group on Myodil As many of you will know the Conservative MP, Tim Collins, has taken up the cudgel in our favour and is striving to win some justice for Myodil sufferers. At the House of Commons on 15 May 2002, Tim held the inaugural meeting of the All-Party Group on Myodil which will seek to advance the interests of those suffering from Myodil-induced adhesive arachnoitis. The Group will campaign on issues arising from the inadequate medical records of many sufferers. The persistent and continuing misdiagnosis of many cases, the lack of a full national database of those affected, the need to alert potential victims, and the case for a public inquiry into how and why Myodil was used in this country and what liabilities might stem from its use. Tim has worked extremely hard to win MPs to our cause and is still doing so. You may find your MP is amongst those listed on the site, if so please send them an email detailing your case, every one sent will be a small, but important, step towards success.
